I guess some times I wonder if Jr was not the son of the intimidator would he still have the same fan base???? Other than his name Why do you like Jr?

as you can tell by my name i hate him. i don't care that he is the son of dale sr. he can't drive and he's way over rated by everyone and yes the only reason why people like him is cause of his dad. like you said if he wasn't sr's son he wouldn't be as popular

I like him because I lost my Mom suddenly and admired how he has dealt with the loss of his dad so well, and in public to boot. That has to be really hard. He is unconventionally good-looking and well-spoken (except talladega fall '04). He did not have everything handed to him, which I did think when Dale Sr was still alive, but now know his story. He is a good driver without having that polished smugness of a couple other certain famous drivers who are very successful......

Any son/daughter of a famous person is going to have a hard time carving his/her own way in life. Your question is case in point. There are a lot of people that think like you do. I like him because he's a class act. The man very rarely bad mouths anyone. Even when he might be justified in doing so. Take Talladega for instance, he had every right to blast Vickers during his interview and didn't. He's also a very talented driver and has quite a future ahead of him. He would be my favorite driver if he drove a Ford.

Sure, Jr. has some fans that were fans of his dad. And if he wasn't Dale Jr., he might not have as many fans. BUT, some of his fans (including me) weren't fans of his father. I like Jr. because he's a great race car driver, races clean, & seems like a nice guy. NOT because of his dad! Got it? Good!

First off some of Earnhardt Senior fans fell into the fan base for Junior.
Secondly when he cane along he was a hansome driver and chicks like that.
Thirdly is his sponsor.Somany underagers got to wear a "beer" logo because their favorite driver was sponsored by BUD.
Forthly some fans just like his racing style.
And lastly Some fans just liked his style.

I like Dale Jr. because he is an awesome driver and down to earth kinda guy! Such compassion in the guy!!!

I'm sorry but dale Jr work for every thing he has. just like his dad. dale Sr didn't gave Jr everything like you think. and i like Jr because he is a good driver. not because of who his dad was.

Because people can relate to him. He is a down to earth guy trying to become his own man and not his dad. I wish people would stop trying to compare him to his dad. Times have changed and he is doing the best he can with what he's got.

Main reason is cuz of his dad BUT he has done alot on his own to earn everyones respect. He is a very nice guy in person and online. I used to race with him a few times in DMP, his online racing league. He is a class act !!!
