No, he doesn't, because many times the people in paintings are the artist, or the same model painted several different ways.

Look at the painting "Dance of the Almeh". There are about 30 men, and they are really all the same person.

Not necessarily. He could for instance just took a picture and copied it or could be just pure imagination. Depends on the artist really.
