Clearly, the Almighty does not have genitalia (any any physical body) so He is not strictly speaking "male". However, God has chosen to describe Himself anthropomorphically as "manly" to emphasis his power; He also manifest other qualities and attiributes which seem fairly described as "manly.

(Exodus 15:3) Jehovah is a manly person of war. Jehovah is his name.

As a Christian, all you have to go by IS the Bible, but you got to remeber the Bilble was written by men in a time when women were subsurvant to men. Plus the book has been revised many times which agravates me. Wouldn't you love to read an unedited version?

Anyway, according to our faith we have God the Father (He), God the Son(He) and God the Holy Spirit (It). So, it's kind of like a team effort with the Holy Trinity.

I go against the faith a bit here and believe that there also must be a God the Mother (She),besides Mary but that's just me.

According to the History of Civilization on this planet. God originally was the Sun. Then for thousands of years during Egyptian Culture, God was a woman (aka: Goddess). Then God was changed into an Idol (Paganism). Then around the time that Judaism got it's start, God was changed into a man. Religion has acquired the power to change God into anything that it wants. I like God as a corn muffin.

Ok, I'm not Christian, but I'll answer this anyways. You ever watch the movie Dogma? They explain that the Bible was written by men during a time when women were viewed as inferior to the males in the species, so whatever gender God is got turned to He and Him by the authors. He could be a She, but I doubt God is an It, unless they got cosmetic surgery up there.

Why BESIDES what the Bible says? The Bible is the final authority in the life of a Christian, so where else does one go to answer your question? God is a HE!

GOD has all; and does not have any human concepts.
Anything a human can think of GOD has it and does not have it at the same time. GOD is a single individual and a large group at the same time. Alpha and Omega on every human idea or half baked idea, GOD is ALL.
Humans will never grasp GOD, but has to try to prevent going crazy.

The word It would best describe God Because the English language does not have a single word for a non gendered entity.. The idea that He/She is a big white Guy in the sky is nonsense made up by the catholic church.

Love and blessings Don

God is a spirit and therefore has no gender. The Bible mentions characteristics of God that are both masculine and feminine.

God is referred to in the Male gender throughout Scripture. Jesus referred to Him as "His Father". I think He would know. God is not flesh and therefore, does not have a gender so to speak, but is considered a "He".

God is not gendered. The universe is (active and receptive forces in all aspects of nature) but God is beyond the mortal universe. Wow I just bored the **** out of myself with that answer but its true I think.
