my brother recently got a girl friend, they've been going out for about 5 months and it's his first girlfriend and he's a senior. he is a real gentleman in the ways that he opens doors for her and stuff like that. but he doesn't know how to treat a girl but he thinks he does. my family and i arent' real keen on his girlfriend either. she doesn't treat him well. all he doe is give her things and all she does is take. if we try to talk with him about it, he gets angry and defends himself. see, what he does is, he always has to look at her and when he does it's like a stare, he can't look away, it looks like he stalking her when he looks at her. he usually talks really low and loud but recently when he's around her, he talks all soft and girly. he's almost bankrupt because he buys her everything. what can we do to stop him from acting this way? i really need your help, we've run out of options. oh, and another thing...he calls her about 3 times a day. and gets mad when he can't call her.

Be there for him when he gets hurt, other than that you have to let him learn himself.

This is typical first love behaviour. Really, the best thing you can do it let him learn for himself. Regardless of what you say he will keep doing what he's doing. When the "honeymoon" is over he come out a realize that may you were right all along. I know you care for your brother and don't want him to get hurt but you told him your concerns and that is all you can do. You live and you learn.

Let him live and learn. Obviously it's something he has to learn for himself. No matter how much you tell him it's wrong, he still won't believe you and he'll keep doing what he's doing. Let him find out for himself, it's the best way for a person to learn.

I went through the same thing.

Your brother is in love with this girl. Nothing you can say will make him turn from her. She's going to that herself.

Unfortunately, he has to go through this on his own.
