At this time of year, AB SK and MB get some snow, it comes and goes. By Dec it will be staying
BC just got hit last week, but that is extremely unusual, and might be gone already. (totally guessing)
Ontario hasn't had much yet (Toronto none), and it doesn't really start until later in Dec. Toronto has been quite mild this week - cold yesterday and today thanks to the rain. They say snow is coming tonight - but it won't stay. That would be the rest of your "mid-west strom. Toronto doesnt see enough snow for staying on the ground until Jan/Feb.
If you want to know what is happening in Toronto, watch news in NY, and then wait a day. Thats what we get most of the time.

In Simcoe, Ontario there is no snow but it is only 1 degree and windy. The storm from the Midwest dropped 50mm of rain on us though. My dad lives in Edmonton, Alberta and they have lots of snow and it is -14.

I live in northern Alberta, and there's TONS of snow here.
Keep in mind Canada's huge, so the climate won't be the same everywhere. :)
