i've been in love with an arab and i really changed my opinion about you guys. after 9/11 it was clear that every muslim is a terrorist, but since i met my boyfriend, i found out that most of you are nice people who are just trying to live their religion and who wouldn't harm anyone. Though me and my ex-boyfriend have been seperated for a few months, i still respect every muslim. plus, i love discussing with muslims, because you know much about your religion, i've never had discussions with any hindu, budhist or something that were more interesting than those with my boyfriend. i really think you guys are ok, so don't let all those anti-muslims get you down. they only know what the news sent, they don't know you.

I think the people who treat you like that are either scared that you may be a terrorist or just immature. Sometimes you just have to ignore it and not let it get to you. I'm friends with alot of different races including: wht, blk, mexican, hispanic, egyptian, german, french, muslim, indian, and some arabs. And yes, I will definitely go deeper and see under that. And honestly, I would feel " iffy " at first but I'm sure if I get to know you and actually like your personality, that wouldn't really matter.

I wont when I start. But in some (very few mind you), I really couldn't relate or like that person after a while of talking. And this isn't only for Arabs, but for other ethnicities also (even my own!). Personally, I hate when people Dictate their beliefs on me. So when I try to have a good starting conversation, with whomever it is, it's usually pleasant. But you, and everone else, probably know that later on when people tell you that "in their culture, you would do..../ would be expected to do.... in a conversation", or something along the lines, it gets a bit awkward.
anyway, sorry for making it long, but just talking to any ethnicity is really cool and insightful. It just depends on the type of conversation I guess.

I think we can not generalize in anything. The fact that you are arab muslim doesn´t mean that automatically you are a terrorist or anything similar. So, yes I would speak to you. Good luck.
