You need to take deep breaths and NOT focus on the test-meaning worrying about it-which in turn makes you do worse!!!, you can honestly say, "If I don't do well on this test, does the world stop just for me?!"

Tell yourself you know everything, then when you get the test, skim through until you find a question you know the answer to, and work out from there. Do all of the easy, then the "I have a good guess" and then the 50/50 and then the "could be anything but it's almost over and doesn't really matter."
Also, don't try to hurry. Read through everything at a speed you can understand everything. Then you don't have to re read and it saves time in the long run. You could also pretend the test is just a survey. Don't look at the clock, eat food beforehand or you will shake before you're even nervous, and that will make you nervous. This is what I do, but figure it out for yourself, everybody is different.

Cheat!

No seriously - Keep off the caffeine - it creates the stress response.
Goodnights sleep before test
Know that your worry over your test will not even enter as a footnote in the history of the universe.
On a galactic scale your test is only a tiny tiny nodule of nothing
Study hard
Do your best
If all else fails there is always the resit
Exercise helps reduce stress - try a long jog the night before the test too

If you've studied during the course then you would know the answers which would relieve the anxiety.

There are some people who just become anxious just thinking about it even tho they know the subject.

The 1st time I had to talk before an audience of 250 I was able to get 2 mild tranquilizers from my dr. I took one at night & one in the morning. It relieved my jitters.

2) Masterb@te and watch porn.o
3) Take long walks
4) Play video games (4 a very short period)
5) Talk to my girl...sometime go to her house @ nite 4 some R&R
6) Spend time with folks (just chatting a bit)

its only taken my whole life 2 figure it out. Basically knowing your material. i used 2 be the last minute study person but during my second degree i just started getting up in the mornings and doing my homework verses being up all night and i find doing all my studying in the morning is fresh. Write your notes neat, date them all, or even type them up. When you get 2 your test take a couple deep breaths dont worry about what anybody else is doing. bring some water, go thru and do all the questions u know cuz you will start getting relaxed when u remember everything it will all come back. I dont care if im the last one out of there, cuz its more quiet after everybody leaves and look at me now i have 2 degrees working on my masters.

If you dont study hard for the exam, you will not feel confident and anxiety takes over.

Cramming does not help in fact it aggravates the process.

Personally, i study until the day prior to the exam. After that, i do something else, no books, no notes, no review and a real early and good night sleep. And definitely, no memory enhacing or sleep depriving drugs.

Hope it works.

If you take a deep breath, hold it for a second or two then blow it out and back in another deep breath, it seems to have the effect of slowing your heart rate and makes you feel less anxious.

I agree with those who say studying is the best cure. Personally I have found a moment of prayer helps, something like, "Dear Lord, please give me peace. Help me to stay calm and focused and to do my best on this test." Whether you believe in God or not, you are telling yourself what you want to do, in a sort of meditative state, so you are programming yourself for the result you want. And there's also the possibility that there's a God who hears your prayer and actually will answer it.

i have such BAD test anxiety. i've even taken a test anxiety class at comm college!! it helped a little, but not with my math anxiety. i was finally diagnosed with a panic/severe social anxiety disorder. i take xanax when i am going to be in a situation that will increase my anxiety levels. i don't know how severe your test anxiety is, but you may need occasional meds, or, there are some good websites you can find with a google search.
best of luck to you.

You will just have to wait for the test results and see. Keep yourself busy and try not to think about it. Everyone who ever has been tested for HIV goes through the waiting period to find out and you will have to do the same thing. No sense in getting all worked up thinking the worst. Settle down and wait like everyone else had to do.
