Because if he did, he wouldn't let people kill in his name.
Religious folks say he can answer prayers, therefore, that he can have a physical effect on things.
If he can have a physical effect on things "because it's god's will" why wouldn't he intervene on those who wish to kill others in his name?
Hasn't he got any power until we die? (Supposedly?)
What use is his almighty power?
Did he get exhausted making the world?

kclr16 - so if something bad happens, Satan did it - if something good happens, god did it. It's all so simple when you put it like that!

He's a lazyfucker if he exists. He thinks every day is Sunday and we're the 2@'s mowing his ******* lawn. He couldn't even handle eden!? Why would he make a garden so big if he can't operate a pissing lawnmower? He should have developed a bit more, maybe past monkey knowledge. I RECKON THAT IF HE EXISTS, SOME FUCKER WOULD HAVE TOPPED HIM BY NOW AND SENT HIM TO HELL!
a ******* MEN! ;0

I believe God does exsist. I'm not a religious person but i do feel that i am some what spiritual. I have had things happen in life that have made me question if "God really exists too?" When I was growing up my father always said never question God. He has his reasons why things happen, and someday we will know and understand. Now at age 32 I still don't know what my perpose on earth is but, God has given me two beautiful healthy children. When I was 19,my first baby died during labor and if it weren't for "God" and a blood transfusion I wouldn't be here either. I also beleive that it wasn't my time to go either. I think that when people die its there time to go.

For those who don't believe... No explanation will suffice.
For those who do believe... No explanation is needed.
Take a look at the fingers that typed in your question. Those fingers didn't just come from your mommy and daddy did they. They also came from their parents and their parents and their parents. So rationality only really works in the daily events of man made circumstances. If anyone is to have faith, then faith is reaching beyond your current understanding and accepting that it maybe people are looking for God in the wrong reasoning.

There never was a god in the sense of the bible, the koran etc., because they are the figments of fevered, and possibly parasite-ridden desert-dwellers. From an atheist's point of view, there is no need to explain why things are the way they are through anything but scientific method, and anything that remains as yet unexplained is still not up for grabs by the sky-pilots: science pushes forward the horizon of knowledge every day. The mysteries remaining, like, "was there anything before the big bang?" are still very exciting without the mumbo jumbo of religion.

Mind we do not know what God has planned so this could be his will and then in the future some day, he makes some major intervention when you lest expect it!

He doesn't intervene because if he did, then it would seem as if this system of things that satan governs is good, and it works. so, to prove that satan's system of things is bad, he ALLOWS things to happen, but does not CAUSE them.

God might well exist, somebody created it all. Nothing comes from nothing, but war comes from men. And man has free will.

I don't really believe in God. Common sense basically knocks him out of the picture if you really think about.
