GO TO THE VET NOW

Cats are prone to a lot of bladder and kidney infections, so I would suggest you take it to the vet and have him checked out! Also! I see the cat is not very old to have kidney problems yet, it would seem! Are you just giving it milk to drink, or is there water for it also? I ask this because a lot of folks don't realise that it's far better for cats to drink water than just milk! The problem maybe as you've said, he's eaten something that's not agreed with him (A bird bone perhaps?) But he could still possibly have a perforated bowel or something, so still take him to the vet! Don't worry too much and have a good day!

My cat was doing the same at about 6 months, he was also whining while he pooped. I called the vet and they told me to take a sample of it and bring it to them. So I brought some over and they tested it. It only cost me about 25 bucks to get it tested. They can usually tell if it is from the stomach, the intestinal tract or from his actual poop hole. I was lucky and Jasper was just really constipated and the blood was from the end of his intestinal tract. They told me to give him a little soft food every day and to get him on some better food. I have them on Nutro now and everything is fine! Good luck but please contact your vet even to just ask them over the phone!

Dont panic and think the worst is going to happen to your cat. My cat had this too, and still does periodically and I took a sample to the vet and had my cat checked. Nothing was wrong. They told me she was probably constipated and it sometimes happens. She tested negative for everything else. So, please dont panic and just take your kitty to the vet to find out for sure. Good luck!

I would take it to a vet as soon as possible.

There are a number of reasons why animals can have blood in their stools: some minor, some not. But the quicker you get it checked out the better.

don't ask us...we'll tell you its bad.
Go take your cat to a vet, ask the vet, and he'll tell you its bad, what it is, and how it can be treated. Don't waste time here, take care of the cat.
