In most cases, it demonstrates two (immature) people who desire to have a wreckless abandonement, but claim to be committed. Open-relationship is actually an oxymoron.

I know what you mean. I do not understand them either. If you want an open relationship its better to just be single.

I would imagine that it's a relationship where the two people are best of friends, totally non-jealous and have high sex drives. If the communication's there, it could work.

I think you mean where you both are allowed to date or sleep with other people?

The point of this is to not get bored with your current relationship. Or to have your cake & eat it too.

Some people want that! They want to be free to do whatever they want, but still keep that one person close to them.

Not having to committ yourself to just 1 person. Being able to "shop around". It really is no relationship at all.

The point? It gives you free reign to fu*ck anyone you want other than the person who you should be committed to. Not quite in line with the old "Love, Honor and Cherish" bullsh*it is it?

it's not a relationship, there is no trust, and it is better to just be a player and not be serious about relationships, but no one likes a player..
