I used to bartend, and I can suggest loads of great drinks, but some bars and clubs may not have all the ingredients. Also, if you want a big list of cocktails, go to www.webtender.com.
My suggestions:
Fire and Ice (Good, but can cause headaches quickly)
100 proof Cinnamon Schnapps layered over 100 proof Peppermint Schnapps
B52 (Smooth and Sweet)
Grand Marnire, Kahlua, Baileys
Fireball (Spicy and Strong)
151 Proof Rum, or 190 Proof Everclear, 100 Proof Cinnamon Schnapps and a couple drops of tabasco.
Atomic Lemonade (Odd but Good)
A little bit of every type of liquor (basically a suicide) mixed with some Lemonade or Sweet n' Sour mix.
Godfather (Classic and Sweet)
Amaretto and Bourbon (Disarono and 12 or 18yo Elisha Craig Bourbon are the best I feel)

I used to LOVE rum and cokes. Can be very tasty, but sometimes the rum can be a bit overwhelming.
Someone introduced me to a Cuba Libre, which is a rum and Coke with a twist of lime. Wow! Made a huge difference. Still a very recognizable taste, but the lime recuced the "mediciney" alcohol quality.
Martinis were a drink I could not stand. Gin does not sit very well on my palate. Again, a friend suggested I try one with a twist of lime and I loved it.
Interesting how such a small change can make a large difference.

I like Frozen Drinks such as a frozen Margarita (also like it on the rocks) or a Strawberry Daquiri. I also like Long Island Ice Teas and Mai Tais.

If I am going to have a mixed drink I enjoy dirty martinis, cosmopolitans, kamikazes, mudslides, bahama mamas, strawberry pina coladas, long beach iced teas, long island ice teas (im a little biased), cape codders, Johnny Specials (parrot bay, captain morgans, coke<--coined by one of my drinking buddies), and any of the "specialty maritnis" (i.e. appletini, watermelontini, lemon drops, etc).

Some of my faves are:
Margarita (frozen, with salt)
Bushwacker (frozen drink..baileys, kahlua, creme de cacao, coconut rum, plan rum, coco lopez...when I make 'em at home)
White Russian (Kahlua, Vodka, half n' half)
Coconut rum n' pineapple juice
Piña Colada
...or you can try some "specialty" drinks that different bars or restaurants have...some are quite tasty!

depends on your taste. Personally, I like cosmopolitans and chocolate martini's if they are made with good liquor. I suggest you check out this link. If you already know anything you don't like you can stay away from the drinks with those ingredients and if you don't know you can have a list of things to try.

British English, that's a 'distant places accessory' to me, is the absolute coolest of something, different than in its maximum crude dialects (and that i'd say a similar and worse concerning the crude dialects of my very own American accessory). The French women are wonderful however, confident. yet in addition, i've got discovered the Dutch accessory to be enormously exciting. and that i take place to love the German accessory myself. Heidi Klum... rrrraow.

the long island ice tea is one of the most potent drinks and its good,
1/2 oz. vodka
1/2 oz. gin
1/2 oz. rum
1/2 oz. tequila
1/2 oz. triple sec
fill halfway to the top with sour mix and shake, after it is shaken top it off with coke until it goes to the top, garnish with a lemon twist
