Why do you assume things of others so much? It's not like you have any special powers, you certainly can't read anyone's heart. So this whole game of you posting an Atheists question and then making a jab at it is really, well, rather childish. At first I thought you were just playing around, but now I see.... you're just another one of those types of people who thinks you have some keen insight on EVERYONE... yet obviously you don't. You can't deal with an individual, you just lump everyone into what YOU think they are and what YOU think they are feeling. Generalizations does NOT equal wisdom nor does it equal intelligence.

I neither secretly or publically yearn to be with god. How can I yearn to be with something that doesn't exist? You know, I can understand why people believe in god and I don't question it or try to change them. Why can't you do the same?

I've suffered from a little peer pressure in the past. The thing is I always knew it was ridiculous. Even if I really really really really wanted there to be a god, that wouldn't make it true.

I know Atheists wd not like my reply. But I have always believed they do!
Most of them are Atheists in the first place due to us, Christians, giving the bad example.. So for these I say, forgive us, but don;t loose God because of us!
Others lived as Christians by name only, so when they revised their life, they dropped this unused title. Well, good u are frank with urself, bad u didn't try to use this title before deciding to loose it..
Others are determined on being Atheists, May God help them anyway!

Living forever in a pleasurable existence sounds good to anyone. But thinking people also have the capacity to understand that false hope is a form of ignorance.

NO. If there is no God, how could one yearn to be with something that doesn't exist. You're not very bright are you?

We don't. We stare, apalled, at the things you proclaim about God and wonder how you cannot see how monstrous your depitctions are. You Biblegod basically proclaims :Be good little boys and girls and kiss my ego and maybe i WON'T throw you into my oven.
Hansel and Gretel has it easy.

"The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”
Yeah, I really yearn to be with that kind of God...
