What could be wrong? I tried repairing and even uninstalling and then reinstalled it but that did not help either.

Incredimail is incredibly full of pop-ups and spyware. I would go back to using yahoo or your isp email. In the meantime:

I recommend advanced windows care. It should fix that problem. It is very effective and it is free.
