im looking for 2 10" subs for my truck any suggestions on the model type and brand of some good ones that arent too expensive

Haha, Kicker is definately far from being the "best brand" of subwoofers. It depends on what you want. If you want great sound quality, you should only get a single 10" or single 12". If you want loud, I would recommend any of the following: Mass Destruction Car Audio, RE Audio, Digital Designs, Fi Audio, Nolte Audio, etc... the list goes on.

Oh by the way, I bet I can get a single 12" Alpine Type-R louder than 2 10" L7 subs. And if it makes any difference, I could probably get 2 12" Type-R subs at a comparable loudness as 2 12" L7s at a fraction of the cost.

Again, JL Audio is far from the best company available. Their top is is the w7, however for the price, they are flat out decent at best. JL does make great products, don't get me wrong, but they're all overpriced, and overhyped by the general public.

JL Audio is the best in Car Audio they have won tons of awards for there stuff. Plus there new W7 class subs dont need much space to hit very hard. That means more space for more subs.

you will not find a sub that sounds better then a Boston G5 10". you can get one on ebay for less then $200.
if its a small sub you need cause it a truck, then you cant beat a Pioneer Premier Shallow Mount 10" subwoofer. there 4" deep, and have to be heard/seen to be believed.

I love my Infinity 10". Single sub in a .75 cubic foot sealed enclosure. I run about 400 or 500 watts to it.
Nearly breaks the windows - seriously.

this is an easy one. kicker is definately the best brand. you should get 2 10" L7 kickers. they are rated at 600 RMS and they will kill any 2 12" subs anyday. Since they are square they create more bass and play alot better than any 12. for any subs you should get kicker and for amps get kicker or hifonics. they are da best

i would say alpine type R's are the top 5 but kicker CompVr's are good also
