1. Orchard Bank Platinum MC.... 0% intro until 9/2007... 12% thereafter. $39 annual fee. No other fees.

2. Anyone heard of Tribute MC? 29% APR.... $0 fees.

Both are "pre-approved" offers.... so which is better?

Check at the banks you have heard of. If you are diligant in paying off your balance the Tribute one is better but no one has heard of it and the interest rate is ridiculous.

Orchard Bank is clearly the better card.

Check the terms and conditions you got in the mail. I doubt if there is any processing fee or monthly maintence fees. 12% seems very reasonable. $39 is a reasonable annual fee.

Tribute has a $150 annual fee, $29.00 application fee and a $6.50 monthly maintenance fee. (according to their website - check the terms and conditions sent to you).

Orchard Bank Mastercard now offers cardholders 2% cash rebates for every $1 that you spend on the card. You may want to check out the resources below.

The best one (and you can wait until it is offered) is:

No annual fee.

Low APR (even 18% is too high these days).
