Go to windows exploreer (right click on start, select explor). Select tools->folder options->view and select show hidden files and folders. You should then be able to delete the temp files. Also, in your Internet browser select tools->Internet options and select delete files. Be sure to check the box to delete all offline content before clicking on OK.

Have your PC show all of the hidden files by going into Folder Options.

Are you using 98se with a broadband connection? If so, you really should think about getting a cheap base unit with xp on it. W98 wasn't really designed to handle broadband and, in my experience, it is only a matter of time before it craps it's pants for good and requires a format and re-installation.

Click on My Computer, then View, then Folder options. In the view tab, make sure you can view hidden files.

When deleting files you only gain disc space when you empty them from the recycle bin.
