Lessee...

The hypotenuse (That's the board) is 7 ft. long, and the angle's 35 degrees.

Soh Cah Toa says that if you have the hypotenuse and the opposite side, you can use sine

sin35 (Opposite over Hypotenuse) = x/7 ft

sin 30 is 1/2, so sin35 is a bit more - .574, to be somewhat exact.

7 ft * .574 = 4.015, so the top would be 4.015 ft off the ground.

SOH CAH TOA
Sin (angle) = Opposite/Hypotenuse
Cos (angle) = Adjacent/Hypotenuse
Tan (angle) = Opposite/Adjacent
so
Sin (35 degrees) = opposite length (the height) / Hypotenuse (the 7 foot board)
Ans : 7 sin (35degrees) = x

7 sin 35 = 4ft

....
opposite/Hypotenuse=sin O

x/7=sin 35
multiply both sides by 7

x=7 sin 35
