He is a Theist. It sounds like he may also be a Deist.

incorrect! the purely way primitive faith exists immediately is by the youngster abuse of forcing it into very, very childrens yet as for this reason extra useful preparation and growing to be intellects such fairly some youngsters are waiting to locate the actuality, throw off the indoctrination and step into the authentic international! All atheists have had to do is develop preparation and inspire the boom of intellects and do not even might want to point faith in view that even as someone has those 2 issues the right of the actuality comes all on that's personal! Christianity has lost over ten in line with cent in decrease than a decade and as preparation keeps to develop so will advance!

The Bible was not properly introduced to him. Sometimes it is good to think that when you die, it is the end. Maybe it will help someone to do his best while alive to enjoy his own kind of heaven. The Book of Ecclesiastes may have the word for that too since it does not say so much about the afterlife but the life while alive. If he is a good person that does not hurt anyone and you think what he does is right as you may see what a righteous man should do; then, do not worry about categorizing him. He may just be seeing the world in the way we don't.

This person is very confuse. By the way why should a beliver belive in the Bible. May be all the confusion comes from here. The Bible.
Christanity and the Bible are so full of irrelevancies that many people who have been expose predominently to Christanity thinks very bad about religion in general.
They can not conceive that other religion concept exist.

I would categorize this person as lost; but searching for something that makes sense to them. What kind of god cannot save them from death? You said they were not at all spiritual; so it doesn't sound like they worship this god. I am not sure what your religious background is; but have you tried witnessing to them? Try using the answers from The Evidence Bible at http://www.livingwaters.com/witnessingtool/browse.shtml to help them see how reasonable it is to believe in the one true God.
You are a good friend to be so concerned; I will pray for both of you.

I would categorize him as someone who really doesn't know God at all. Acknowledging an existence of "a" God, and knowing Him personally are very different. Your eternal destination lies in the distinction.

Lost. Even the demons believe there is a God, and they tremble at the sound of His name. Show the person the gospel to make him a believer. Belief that there is a God is not going to save you. Belief that God sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for you to pay for your sins. Then that three day later, Jesus rose from the grave. Believing the gospel saves you. Don't add anything to it. Believing the gospel saves you, nothing else.

This person is either someone that is lying and playing games, or they believe in a false god and believe in another religion and whatever their book is that supports their beliefs. Even within the Christian faith, you will see ppl that believe different things, as they make the Bible say whatt they want it to, instead of studying ONLY to see what God says. ITs not about you, me or them. Its only about God. He knows how to lead, guide, direct and save. If a person doesnt believe in the Bible, they are not a true Christian. God tells us in His word that any relgion that does not ahve the docgtrine of Jesus is false religion and we are to flee, and not even wish them well or we are partkaers of their sins > But, we can still love and hope God will send them truth. If they say the Bible is a lie, then they dont believe in the true God of the Bible. God says Jesus is the only way, and either they believe that or not, and if you do, you believe in the teachings of the Bible. Many religions are scams, and many churches are too. God tells us to check all things against His word. so if we see ppl or churches not doing as God says, we know they are false, and need to flee to the nearest exist. None of us are perfect, but are to be perfectly learning and doing all we can to obey all we know. Why would God bless us with more truth, if just ignore what He has already told us? PPL today in most churches say obedience is legalism and wrong and that grace covers all sin BUt, God says obedience brings blessing and Heaven. Disobedience brings curse and death, not my words, but Gods. Jesus was the perfect one and He is our perfect example. If we keep trying to be like Him He will take us to victory in being perfect. We cant do it, but He can. If we couldnt, God wouldnt ask us to be perfect. But, we dont strive harder and harder and give up. We just love God, and obey, and continue, and He willl do it for us. God is good all the time.
The person you are describing is either lieing , pulling your leg and playing games, or is of a false relgion and believes a false god and believs their teaching. There are ppl today that teach we can be as powerful as God until we become God. Is that in the BIBLE> No, we draw on His power and strength, we are nothing apart from Him, but once we know how to do that, wowowo, He annoints us with such power and stregnth, to do good, not evil. and to reach out to a fallen world and offer the hope of JESUS.
YOu are learning discernment, press on.... and dont judge your friend, thats Gods job. You can see truth, and talk to him but no judgements and condemnation. just speaka truth as YOU know it and live it.

I'd categorize such person as a good thinker. Although I am a believer I think that it's a free will whether to believe in religions or not. Why impose our personal beliefs on others?
After all, they are better than believers who are believers just because they were born so!! These people know how to think, even if their thinking might seem odd to you, it really matters to them alone!

Probably a Deist. They believe the Universe is evidence of god, but that no one has direct knowledge of god. If he says that it is impossible to know if there is a god or not, then he would be an agnostic.
