i'd guess it's your aeriel. I dont have sky but I do have a digital box and an indoor aerial . The same thing happens and if we move the aerial it fixes it . Maybe your aerial needs a change of direction.

It is not the TV. You are losing the digital signal from the satellite. It might be that the antenna-pointing has moved and you are not straight-aimed at satellite or that bad weather is interfering with your signal. If it is on all the channels it is on your end. If it is just on one channel the Sky guys may have a problems with that channel's feed.

Usually when mine freezes its the weather, the worst the weather the slower the picture until sometimes I get no signal at all. Sometimes switching it off at the socket helps; sometimes is doesn't. Give it a go and see what happens

I can tell you from experience of why your picture freezes or breaks up. It is a very common problem that the Sky television engineer told me that it was caused from Sat Nav systems on cars, whenever any one who drives along your road/street with a Sat Nav, it is that what causes the problem.

It's your aerial. The tv just shows what it gets. If the signal is bad your picture will be break up.

sky is affected by wind, rain snow etc or it could be that the dish is pointing towards some tall trees and the leaves are disrupting the signal. it's not the tv

It maybe nothing to do with your equipment, but with Sky.
At this time of year things do go a bit haywire with them.
Try unplugging your receiver and rebooting it,sometimes this works.
If things don't improve, get in touch with Sky,and see what they can suggest.

It could be the weather if your getting torrential downpours or another cause could be a shrub or tree that's grown up in front of the satellite dish.
