I would get out of there 1st thing. Your "man" should do whatever he can to get a job NOW!!! It's not his parents responsibility to take care of you and your son let alone their son. There are many resources - your local shelter can provide you with temporary housing, section 8 housing can provide housing based on your income, family services can help. Reach out and ask someone - but don't stay where you are. What about your son's father? Is the boyfriend the father? If so - he needs to get a job - any job - something!!!!

you can apply for housing either at the housing authority or the dhs office...where is your mother in law and what does she have to say?? You can also apply for foodstamps...but maybe you should move out on your own (with assistance) until your man gets a job...I'm not telling you to leave him or he's not a good person...my husband didn't work for the first year of our relationship...and now he has been with the same company for 2 years...and is a manager...but get you and your son taken care of 1st!!

Your boyfriend has been out of a job for three months, and you're living with his parents and your son?

Get out of that situation! You have absolutely NO family?

Make your lazy boyfriend get a job! His father is right, why should he support your family?

Depending in the state that you live in you will have to go to Human Services to see what you qualify for. If I was you, you should start looking into low-income housing and put your application in. You might also be able to look in the phone book for emergency shelters.
