Hi--depends on the person you're planning to have the date with, doesn't it? You got LOADS of wonderful fun answers! A cozy evening (hope you have a fireplace!) w/candles, watch a good FREE movie on TV if there's one on--warm buttered popcorn, or if you can afford it & don't want to do it yourself, a nice antipasto tray from your grocery deli. Some brandy in pretty glasses (if you have any), incense is nice--just create a "mood"--it could be wonderful. I think I know what you mean by "cheap"--so many gals who think a guy is "cheap" if he doesn't spend his life savings on them! STAY AWAY FROM THEM. Something simple, but "thoughtful" can please a gal very much! & don't forget the "YOU" in this scenario!

Take the lady/guy to the nearest open grass/park something like that and produce warm chocolate and various of blankets and lay lower than the celebs. That became my first actual date, and it became the perfect element my boyfriend has ever finished for me!

Try not to use the word cheap try inexpensive. You can always go to see a free play during the Christmas season(Local church, theater etc)and fix some heavy appetizers(that you make yourself).
