Christianity as practiced by the Quakers, aka Friends, is totally nonviolent. The Quakers do not believe in fighting even to defend themselves. Their basic tenet seems to be that if someone else will be injured, even because they were attacking you, you should not respond in violence.

While I have all respect for Friends, I also see the value of defending one's faith even by force when truly necessary. Do not confuse this with forcing so-called "conversion", as has been practiced in the past. This may have been done "in the name of God", but it certainly was not done with His blessing. Those people met with a fate much different than the one they expected when they died!

Buddhism is probably the largest. Jainism opposes all killing, even insects. And many smaller religions, like Bon-pa, are very peaceful.

Note that these are non-theistic religions.

Jehovah's Witnesses. They do not join the service of any country they are in ( and there are over 6 million worldwide) so that they might not take up arms against a brother, even inadvertantly.

Yea I think Buddhism.

Scientology isn't violent in this life- right. In past lives they've sacked cities and such but right now they're pretty calm.

I think the Amish are pretty peaceful too.
