Thats the problem with cats running loose. They kill just to kill. Many animals give their life up because people won't be a good cat owner and keep them indoors where they belong.

Aww,.. I'm sorry but there might not be anything that can be done. Your cat is bringing you gifts and snacks because they love and respect you. This is positive socially for them.
If you really want it to stop and some help with it,.. you could try teaching your cat to leave gifts at a specific location for you. It will be like when shrines in anchient times had gifts, donations, and sacrifices,.. only they are to you. You don't need a shrine,.. but you may want a basket or bucket,.. or some other container of sorts that can hold up through the weather. Get some gloves or something and use them to put the "gifts" in this container out doors (make sure the container won't disappear in the weather). Every time you get a gift,.. show your cat it goes there out doors. When the cats drops things in there on it's own,.. praise it,.. priase your cat,.. pet your cat,.. show you appreciate it. When your cat isn't around (it's inside sleeping or something),.. block off, lock, or close the doggie door (so your cat can't get out) and take care of the "gifts",... throw them out however you have to. Make sure you do it (you don't want the cat to think thieves get to it and acuse your friends or family of being thieves,... or they will start dropping infrotn fo you again instead of outside in the container).

Hunting is a natural instinct and you can not stop him from hunting, but you can stop him from going outside. An outdoor cat has a limited lifespan. It is dangerous to your cat and not a kindness to allow him outside. There are many books which will give you a whole list of reasons why this is dangerous for the cat and for the environment.

Hes a cat. Cats hunt. Predators have eyes in the front of their heads, and so on and so forth. You can't change his instincts - be glad hes not bringing home rabbits?
If you really love him, keep him inside. That will stop him bringing home dead animals, and keep him much much safer. Indoor cats live longer than outside ones.
I don't think theres anything you can do to get him to stop bringing his "prey" inside, unless you find a way to get him to stash it on the porch, or right outside his doorway.

Keep the cat indoors. Outdoor cats have short lifespans (usually less then 3 years old) whereas indoor cats can live to be 20 or more!
Too many dangers in todays world. Snakes for one. Other wild animals, cars, animal haters, dogs off leash, commuincable diseases are rampant!

It's a compliment, she's bringing it for you, and showing off. I don't think there's much you can do to curb this behaviour except keep her indoors, or to play with her lots and lots (like with a laser pointer) to work out some of that hunting instinct before she goes outside.

yes i agree with the above as far as the cat is concerned its a present for you and it is their nature to hunt, yet i would be careful about keeping him in coz if he is used to going outside and then all of a sudden u stop him it can confuse him and agitate him thou it depens on his nature

If you cut back a bit on what you're feeding him, he'll eat what he kills instead of bringing it home to show it off. Not exactly the advice a vet would give you, but it does work.

cats hunt. That's what they do. Live with it. If you want a pet that doesn't hunt, get a hamster!
