I keep hearing that the laws of the Old Testament no longer apply and have been superseded by the New Testament. How do you know god hasn’t changed the rules again? This time he might not even let anybody know that way so he can throw all you all in hell and watch you sizzle. Your smoke will be a pleasing aroma to him.

If he changed the rules once, why not change them again and again and again?

from the last heavenly memo, called "the brand-new testament", i heard a little rumour that the laws had changed from "believe in jesus to get to heaven" to "jump on one foot and ring like a telephone to get to heaven."

Take a good look at the Bible and read it all the way through. When you are done, just ask yourself if you are seeing the SAME God reflected in the New and Old Testaments. Either he had a split personality or we are dealing with a totally different being in each case.

Chew on that for a while.

God is the same yesterday today and forever his laws are never changing. We still live by the laws of the Old Testament. We just know that we are incapble of keeping them at the level Christ wanted. So therefore we need Jesus for his perfection, as a means of payment for our sins.

Ok true the only road to Salvation is accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior. Then you will recieve the Holy Spirit-which is God's active force. The Holy Spirit will guide you to follow the rules. You will want to naturally follow the rules because you are born again in Christ. Jesus said He did not come to abolish the rules. The fact is following the rules alone will not SAVE you.

Jesus didn't add two. If you read it again, it states that those two commandments Jesus said is the culmination of all the Laws. There are over 600 Laws that God created...but all those stem from those two main commandments.

What laws do you hear of that no longer apply? The ten commandments still apply, Jesus just added 2 more, none were taken away.

God is supposed to exist outside of the realm of time and space. The idea that he would need to ever change any rules is utterly ridiculous.

I'm still waiting for the Bible 2.0 to come out where God says: "Thou shalt not to turn embryos into popsicles for stem-cell research". I hear it's in the publisher's hands right now.
