my theory on the meaning of life is that we all came to this planet, reality, astral plane, however you want to call it, to learn a bit more but not our human bodys but our souls, i believe that hterea re many more astral planes that we go through and that in each specific plane or life we learn different things, untilg our soul or what ever it is that needs to grow and learn achieves the highest level, how many of you think that this is a posibility? how many of you think you might have the real meaning of life??

I, too, believe that our souls live many lives in an effort to educate ourselves.

I never thought of it that way, but you are absolutely right. My reason for living this life is the meaning of my life.

I applaud you!

Pretty interesting theory. To me our purpose in this life is to be the best we can be. I think it could be a possibility; after all we all have to come from somewhere when we are conceived and go somewhere when we die. There are a lot of people that would argue that there is not such a thing as a soul and that when we die we just become matter, get recycled into other stuff and that's the end of it. However, I don't think our bodies without a soul would be able to function; the soul is what makes a person to be alive. Now back to your theory, I have heard this idea before, but instead of astral planes, this person called it dimensions. I just wonder if we go through all this planes how many are there? and when does it end? when we reach perfection maybe? and what is at the end of the cycle, God? and if you don't accomplish your purpose in this life do you get stuck in this plane or do you go back to the former plane? This theory could be a good explanation, but to me life is still a big riddle.

Yes I think that life for repeat offenders is good.I mean cause most of these murders could have been prevented if the killers would have stayed in jail. I can relate to the victims families. My friend was killed in 1997 and they have no leads. An I know sometimes the jury lets them off but come on if the guy or girl killed more than once you know hes going to do it again.

For starters I saw this on a bumper sticker:
I am a soul; I don't have a soul; I am a Soul, I have a body.

When I saw that on a bumper sticker I wanted one.

Thinking in that perspective that I am a soul and what I do with my body is learn with it and gather new knowledge daily so I can give life new meaning. The meaning of life must be like learning to live better.

It is definate that we are here to learn and grow. I'd say the different aspects of growth must all be considered. Physical, emotional, spiritual, social. I don't think any one aspect of human existance is more or less important than another. After all it could very well be that all of those aspects of human life are also inner linked with each other!

I believe that we were created by God to worship and fellowship with God.

I believe that we were created above all other creation with free will and we get to choose to accept God or forsake God.

I believe if we choose to give our lives to God and follow Jesus and the teaching of the Bible we will gain the presence of the Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of truth.

I believe we are eternal beings that will exist forever, either with God for eternity or separated from God for eternity (unable to fulfill our purpose).

I believe that without the Spirit of Truth and being in the righteousness of Jesus we are lost and without hope and can never understand reality.

The meaning of life is that after you are dead, that's it. Animals don't have souls and neither do humans. it's all chemicals in the brain. Enjoy life until you can't anymore, like a dog or a monkey.

I don't think I know the real meaning of life..... I KNOW I have the real meaning of life!

The meaning or purpose of life-existence.......
To worship the One and only All Might God

"I did not create the Jinn and mankind, except that they should worship me"

[Surah ad-Dhariyat 50:53]

Also...

“In the name of Allaah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. All praises and thanks be to Allaah, the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists), the Most Beneficient, the Most Merciful, the Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e., the Day of Resurrection). You (Alone) we worship, and You (alone) we ask for help (for each and every thing).” [al-Faatihah 1:1-5]

“O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allaah), Who has created you and those before you so that you may become al-muttaqoon (the pious).” [al-Baqarah 2:21]

“Such is Allaah, your Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but He, the Creator of all things. So worship Him (Alone), and He is the Wakeel (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian) over all things.”[al-An’aam 6:102]

“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour.” [al-Isra’ 17:23]

This is the main, exact reason why we were created by God the All Mighty, to worship and follow Him. Does God need us? No, all He wants us is to obey Him, and worship Him as He should be worshipped, as He is the only One worty of worship, and we should do. Why should weworship Him? He create us and gave us everything we can ever ask or and need. So the least we can do is be greatful to Him, everytime, because he is the All Mighty, that has given us so much. He is nothing like us:

1 Say (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)): "He is Allah, (the) One.
2 "Allah-us-Samad (The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks).
3 "He begets not, nor was He begotten;
4 "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him."
[Surah al-Ikhlas 112:1-4]

He puts us in bad situations to see how we do, and to obey him, in every command, not altering any, or leaving any, but accepting it all. (this continues to the exist of God)

You may ask, does God the All Mighty even exist?
Yes he does.....
