They have been discussing how they might have been dishonest with gymnastics. you're able to be sixteen in the olympic three hundred and sixty 5 days to compete. China replaced into claiming all their ladies have been sixteen plus even although, those ladies appeared approximately 12! This wasn't in basic terms the graceful face of the asians the two! curiously there replaced into an editorial in the past that three hundred and sixty 5 days approximately how the female replaced into 14! and then they attempt to pass her off as sixteen? a minimum of Nastia and Shawn gained the gold and silver!

Fishing is classed as a past time and not a sport so it cant be included in the olympics...shame cos id love to see Nuddy with a gold! Scotthorne with silver........
And the reply who states fishing is more luck...what planet are you on, you cant have seen some of the greats in action. The skill these men and women posses in the art of catching fish is amazing. it takes years of time and effort to master all the skills to become a top angler whatever you do be it fly, sea carp or match.

Because it is not P.C (politically correct). Same as at the last olmypics when the British clay pigeon team won golds at several disciplins. No tv coverage and only a slight mention in some national papers. The government does not want to encourage gun use or harming fish., it might lose them votes. and the league against cruelty to animals through the RSPCA have donated millions to the labour party.

This is basically a response to some of your answers.

You have to sit still and not say a word. Guess you never heard of that new invention they have out. It is called a boat.

Too much to learn, or that you just need to know the right lure to use. What a load of crap. Type of lure, color of lure, retrieve of lure, area to fish in, bottom structure, time of year, type of day, barometric pressure. Go look at a 1400 acre lake and tell me where the walleye are holding. You can't, I haven't given you enough information yet.

I just love reading these questions and answers. Some of these moronic questions/answers kill more brain cells than alcohol.

It may not be a active sport like football, but it is very enjoyable...and there are a lot of people who love to do it, whether they are with family just haveing a good time or in a deep sea competition. Why are you bashing it, when that's what some people do for fun? I mean, why make fun of their hobbies when it in know way effects you?

Fishing is a great sport of getting back to nature, the biggest competition in fishing is with yourself. Personally I fish just for the stress relief it gives me.

After curling I simply don't see why the Olympics should be determining what's a sport and what isn't. And yes, there are MANY MANY fishing shows on television and MANY MANY magazines dedicated to it.

I love fishing, but I'm not going to quit it because it is or isn't a sport. I do it because it's enjoyable, and good healthy food.

to everyone who said that fishing is sedentairy, try wading a river when the flow is up. a better workout than aerobics if ya ask me;)
and why make it an olympic sport when there is already a world class competitive arena? ever hear of Bassmasters Classic? how about B.A.S.S. tourneyments? better than the olympics any day of the week if ya ask me.
