I'm taking the SAT tomorrow, and I heard there were going to be a lot of intermissions for snacks and alike.

Can you recommend portable snacks or drinks that can help replenish the brain without distracting it (like many sweet treats tend to do)?

WATER WATER WATER, When you body is dehydrated it will slow your thinking process down HEAPS you can survive for ever with out food as such but as soon as you feel thirsty you are already dehydrated, So Drink heap's of water ( a few jelly beans or sweeties wont go a miss to keep your sugar levels up too)

Something with protein, but I usually just ate candied ginger.

Actually, one real trick is to eat the same thing while studying as when taking the test. It helps you remember better because you associate the smell/taste with what you were studying.

I reccommend Trail Mix.... Nuts and dried fruit will satisfy but not make you feel like you are on a sugar high. Also drink plenty of water.. . but not too much.. because then you'll have to pee. LOL

I know that snacking on almonds is supposed to give you energy, but not like sugar. It may help you to focus. :)

Good luck!

Some cooked meat or whole grain or cereal (not coco or fruity pebbles).
