No no, never! Kids, parents! Is there anyone that has not learned a lesson? Every time I babysit I see, more from the child's expression than I could ever hope to imagine. I would like to know of a child grown up now that remembers big bird and what they are doing, accomplishments.

I don't think Big Bird will ever be completely out of style (he's like Mickey Mouse!) bu it is safe to say he is no longer the star of Sesame Street, and Elmo has basically taken over the show in terms of popularity. however, kids definitely still know who Big Bird is, and I honestly prefer him to that little red twit Elmo, who is nowhere near as offensive to all five senses as Barney, but comes in a close second in terms of annoyance!!! If in doubt, go with Cookie Monster. Everybody loves Cookie Monster!!!

No. Big Bird is an icon like "Mickey Mouse". I think for children of a certain age he will always be in style. ;)
