It is not to late for treatment. You could have HPV which 80% of women have nowadays and around 50% of women don't know that they have the virus. HPV now has a vaccine or it can go away on it's own so it can be taken care of in the doctors office. The symptoms are itching, irritation, and bleeding if you aren't having any of these symptoms then maybe you don't have genital warts and you should just wait until you go see your OB/GYN, but until absolutely sure I would have protected sex to protect your partner. I hope that this helps some.

There is no rush to see the GYN and there is harm in a brief delay in treatment. The diagnosis is usually based not simply upon visible growths but rather a microscopic culposcopic examination. The treatment is to eliminate not only the visble growths but the viral infection below the surface that often is not visible. There is now a vaccine to protect against 4 types of HPV (the genital wart virus family) which have been linked to cervical cancer. Do not worry - wait until the 11th - but please follow through with the examination. Good luck.

warts won't get worse in 2 weeks. they may disappear on their own or -otherwise- you may need a specific treatment, which could be, depending on the kind of wart and its location, an application of salicilic acid, cryotherapy or laser therapy. none of them is painful, due to a local anaesthesia, most of time used by the doctor. in any case, the presence of hpv, that causes warts, is associated with an increased risk of developing a cancer in your uterine cervyx, so listen to your doctor's suggestion about how often have a pap-test. please excuse my non-perfect english, I'm italian!btw, they're not permanent, but often appear again after their removal
