I am going to be in a play at my school. I don't know what to do because I get nervous when it comes to doing things like that. I don't even like
to do presentations or reading out loud in front of
my classes. I don't like reading out loud anyway because people laugh at me, and I get angry, embarrased and humiliated. What should I do???

you must be yourself and you must try to be natural. Think of this play as an advice that you have to give to someone . Never be stressed and never lose your temper. If you look to the whole think like something you must accomplish it will be easy for you.

well don't read to much into it! and who cares what others think of you only your TRUE friends thougths count anyway!
But if your really nearvouse take a drink of room temp water.. and think about someone who you trust and love...
People laughted at me for reading out loud i'm slightly slow! but you know what i'm not them so screw em they are not worth my time! I guess it would be hard for you to see that! I mean it too me 10 years to get at the mindset i'm in now!
but this is your chance to get a head of the game!
don't worry about it! i'msure you willl do fine!
just remember your ACTING it's not the real you anyway! :)
so if someone says something just say yeah that was part of the act dummy! :)
play it off well if you think about it! :)
Break a leg!

well first just start doing your play in front of your parents. (your part.) then start doing your play in front of your friends. and when your doing the school play just think about good things just remember the things that you like. (For example your boyfriend or the boy that you like or love.) well i went through this a couple weeks ago i know it hard. but after you will feel good. and in two weeks i have to play the flute in front of a whole church and the church is HUGE! and it's just going to be two of us playing the flute. so good luck!

as you get older you begin to realize the people who laugh are just jackasses!! don't even see them. your best bet is to play your part in stride. i'm sure you will do wonderfully and if not laugh at your mistakes... make them part of the show... remember to have fun that's what counts!!

Go to your doctor they actually have pills you can take as a one time thing to get rid of stage fright.

Why are you doing this? Can't you just get out of it?
