Why would anyone put faith in man when his character is so flawed?

Some people seem to think that all people will somehow get of the same page as far as peace and environment. Why would people waste the mental effort when every ounce of recorded history suggests that we will never part with our differences. Even the nicest of people will dissapoint because they are just people like you, filled with flaws.

I wish the powers that be in this world would get on the same page as far as peace and the environment. Like you, I fear that it will never happen. We are human, in all sense of the word.

I look at it as if we (the human race) were all drifting out at sea in a lifeboat. We can either work together and live or we can kill each other for food.

I'm an optimist and think that eventually we will learn to work together (though sometimes when I watch the 6 o'clock news I think I might be nuts).

Yes, but isn't that what makes life worth living? Accepting the flaws, working with the flaws, fixing the flaws? What else would we be doing with our time?

Whats the alternative? Turtles? Earthworms? Man has the biggest brain of any animal. Most neural connections. If you can't have faith in your own capacity to think, you're pretty much lost.

You are absolutely correct. Putting faith in man will get you nowhere. However, putting faith in the Almighty will get you to the place you seek.
