Acne or blemish-prone skin is a remarkably common skin condition. While many adolescents may experience acne, this condition also can appear for the first time in adults in their 20s or 30s or even later in life. Generally, however, if you had acne as a teenager, you are more likely to have it again as an adult. Eighty to 100 percent of all teenagers have acne to some degree, and an increasing number of adult women also have some acne.

have mild or occasional acne. Some results may be seen within days, but a majority of users will experience the maximum reduction in acne lesions after using the product for eight weeks or more. Limit the number of layers ofcosmetics products they apply and to avoid any products containing oil.
Excessive scrubbing or frequent cleansing will not control it, and any rough manipulation of the skin may further irritate and inflame the lesions or even lead to the formation of new acne lesions.

Forget Proactiv. It works good at first and then it backfires, leaving your face worse than ever. A cleanser alone is not going to clear you up, so don't rely on just a cleanser. Purpose Gentle Cleanser is a great choice, in my opinion. I use it and it's been great. But you have to medicate your skin afterwards. I would try Neutrogena On The Spot. Just put a little bit on each pimple in the morning and evening. That should clear you up. If that doesn't work, I would see a dermatologist.

Eye-drops remove the redness, whether you apply make-up or not afterwards.
Milk powder or baking soda mixed with water are great cleansers, after removing make-up. Follow up with a mild cream or aloe vera.
Toothpaste applied to zits and left on overnight, can dry them out.
Keep your gut and liver clean. Avoid processed or fatty foods. Get a little exercise five days a week.
Use tomato puree as a 15-minute mask, in the evening, once a week - as a natural AHA treatment. Do moisturise afterwards.

For acne, the best product I have found is Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash. It is a bit drying though, so the best moisturizer is Clean and Clear Oil-Free Oxygenating Facial Moisturizer. Also, if you cannot shower immediately after you work out, use an astringent like Sea Breeze Actives Clear Pore Astringent. The cleanser and Astringent are available at CVS, and the moisturizer is available at Target.

Depends on how much you want to spend.
Zits occur because of microbes eating excess amounts of oil on you skin and in your oil ducts. If you scrub off all of your oil, your oil ducts produce even more.
What works for me and my 3 girls is we wash our face with a mild soap or cetaphil like cleanser, dry, then apply either triple antibiotic or neosporin VERY lightly to our whole face before we go to bed at night. This will wash off in the shower or when you wash your face in the morning. Once you get it under control, use a very light moisturizer. The moisturizer will tell your oil glands that they do not need to produce more oil and lessen break outs. Sometimes if the break out is very bad, my daughter uses a cleanser with Salicylic Acid in it before applying the antibacterial salve. Salicylic acid will degrease you face, but it has a drying effect, so if you don't use the antibiotic salve, use a light moisturizer (one that says its light and has emollients).
The name brand really doesn't matter. You can buy EQUATE (Wal Mart) products, like their Creamy Facial Cleanser and their antibiotic salves and creams for a third or less of the branded products. Or you can pick up more expensive moisturizers from Ponds, Noxema, or Loreal to name a few of the thousands out there.
Good luck and don't stress. We all get zits, stressing over it makes it worse.. Know they will not last forever and they won't, have faith.

for sensitive skin... try Cetaphil.
other than that, i've liked Clearisil Ultra.... stay away from St. Ives Apricot scrub stuff.....
try putting some honey on top of the zits for about an hour or so before u go to bed... or if u can stand it, try spreading a thin layer of honey all over ur face every night before u go to bed, wake up and wash it off w/ warm water. honey is a natural anti-bacterial, and bacteria is what makes ur acne grow. try not to roll around when u sleep, it gets Sticky! put a towel over ur pillow.
good luck~

When I was in high school I was zit city as well. I found Pro Active and it saved me. 'That stuff is the shitz.' Trust me on this one! It can be some what pricey but it is worth the money. If you are not an adult then ask your parents to help you. If not then maybe someone else can help you. If not then try washing your face with just warm water and a cloth. Sometimes soap can irritate the skin.
Good Luck

I have average skin, but when i was younger i would break out a lot. I went to my dermatoligist and he asked what i used to wash my face and i told him that i used...clearisil, or clean and clear, or nertrogina, or any of those other face washes. He told me to stop and that those arent really beneficial. He told me that he always tells his patients (he ihas been practicing for like 60 years) to use plain old Ivory soap. I have used it for 6 years now and my skin has returned to normal. Its not too harsh like those cleansers, and not TOO light like cetaphil (which is useless). Then i ALWAYS moisturize after and Viola...totally normal skin.
I got all of my friends and family hooked onto ivory soap. It is the cheapest, but the best thing.
ALSO...using St. Ives apricot cleanser ONLY TWICE a week is good too. Using it anymore than twice a week is useless since your skin takes several days to develop some dead skin for you to exfoliate off.

Okay, I have always had great skin. You must drinks lots of water!! thats the first secret, dont use those anti zip creams!! Wash your face with warm water, then with cold water, I like to wash my face in the shower. Dont wash your face to much. Twice a day is fine. Stay away from bad food, oily food. Orange Juice is good for the skin. Three face cleaners I like to use. First one is Zoxzema, next one is a product called Witch, it has vitimin E with witch hazel. I do dont use soap. The last one I like to use is oatmeal, thats right. get some oats, put them in cold water, then put the oats on your face, the oats will soak up the oil in your skin, but it wont soak up to much. I tryed cat litter one time, but it made my skin to dry. Makeup is also bad for the skin :( sorry to tell you that. It clogs the pores. One last product I like to use is nose cleaner strips, they work very well in keeping you nose area clean and smooth. Any other Questions, email me at infuse2006@aol.com Take care my Love
