You get what you pay for. In the long run a good shampoo will be better. Although I've used the Costco brand and liked it.
But on the other hand my hair is about 1/2" long...so I may not be the best candidate to answer this.ls.

I love the extra body V05. I discovered it by accident. HEB grocery store had a sale..79cents a bottle.. so I bought 3 bottles of it, just to have around.. and found out I love it. My hair is super shiny and full of body. I also noticed that it doesn't leave build up like a lot of the more expensive shampoos do. So many of the expensive lines have silk proteins and stuff that builds up on your hair after awhile. It ends up leaving my hair shiny, but instead of healthy shine, it looks wet or dirty.. so gross!

i used to be a salon only user because that's what i led to believe but heard pantene was just as good. so i've been using pantene sampoo/conditioner combo for chemically treated hair and i've honestly seen no difference from the $30 stuff i've used in the past. i too have very coarse hair and it's hard to find the right products. i also swear by john freida's frizz ease serum!

Try VO5, it is cheap but works. Sometimes I use Tresseme, which does cost more but they have a split ends/strengthener version and I do not have to use other products on my hair (such as defrizzing stuff) so in the end you save money by using it.

I like to use Sun Silk. It is really good on your hair. I'm Italian and Spanish so my hair tends to get dry. I use this product and it has smoothed out my hair and it smells sooooo good. It does not cost that much either. I also like to use Vive.
Good Luck

I use Pantene Pro-V. It is about $3.78 (or so) at Wal Mart for a big bottle. If that is too much, I would suggest White Rain, it is usually around $1.00 for not such a big bottle.

i like L'oreal Vive (the Smoothing one). i have curly/frizzy hair and it's helped me..although my hair seems to get used to shampoos easily and i have to alternate every once in awhile. it's $3.49 - $4.00 per bottle, and u have to get conditioner too.
if u want cheaper than that, V05 or Suave can work...try those. and try the V05 hot oil treatment too :)

I'm in the same position as you. I get Pantene Pro-V. Its cheap, works great! And I get sooo many comliments! You can get it at Walmart. So, overall get Pantene Pro-V shampoo and sunsilk conditioner. (Both at Wal-Mart.)
