you can find somebody to practice in your country or friends to chat or to write in internet.
Find a good grammar book, better if u find it with a cd to hear the pronunciation, find songs sung in the languaje u wanna learn, download the lyrics and it will sound silly but try to sing them at the same time u listen to... this will help you alot!! with the listening and the speaking... watch movies with close caption , that would be very good too.
Of course a good school to learn is also a good idea, good luck.

Practice makes perfect.Take classes, Buy dictionary. book stores and libraries have lot of English to ??? language books, audios. if u check on Internet u might be able to find lot of info. It's not important what the method is. Important is practice, listen to that language radio shows, watch TV shows, try to read news paper, talk to the people who know the language, I even go to washroom and talk to the mirror. Don't be shy when u are learning other language. The biggest mistake most people make is that they don't speak because they are afraid of making mistake. If you don't speak u don't learn.

Try watching their shows on tv or cable. It's a pretty good way to pick up a new language especially if you are studying the language at the same time.

Immerse yourself as much as possible in the language and culture. Get movies and music from the library in the language you are learning. Most libraries also have a selection of tape/cd language courses which are useful.

Exposing yourself to a large number of people that speak that language and taking a great interest in learning it. Then try to imitate what your hear. That is the non-conventional way but the conventional way to do it i would say is to take up special classes for secondary languages.

Get as much exposure to the language as possible. Books, movies, whatever. Try to get a lot of exposure that you can understand. Then practice. The more exposure, the faster you will learn.
