Hi, I really need help from either biracial girls or hair stylists that deal with biracial hair!! I am going to try to stop relaxing my hair, and just straighten it instead with a flat iron/hair straightener, but I have NO idea what to get!! I've heard of Chi, Sedu, Cricket and so many others, but I have NO idea which one is best for my curly biracial hair! Can some of you tell me which ones you have used and if they worked for you? Thank you soooo much! :)

CHI works well.. however it gets VERY hot, and i'm not sure how much heat ur hair can take. i am asian but have very curly/frizzy hair (don't know where i got it from hahaha..). the SEDU is also very drying, so watch out. ceramic irons are usually the best for straightening.... make sure to get Heat Protecting conditioner/leave in spray before u use the iron.

if u can, try looking into the MAGIC straight perm.. at Korean or Japanese salons. they will tell u if your hair is ok to perm or not... but the MAGIC makes your hair straight like Beautiful straight, and looks really healthy. lasts for 6 mo or whatever when ur new hair grows out (haha the top will be curly, bottom Still Straight). but it's good cuz u won't have to blowdry or anything when u get out of the shower..... good luck

I have been reading reviews at folica.com, trying to figure out which iron I want myself. I have narrowed it down to a sedu or solia, NOT a CHI!! The reviews say the quality is bad and they do not last, they break after a year or so! The reviews on a sedu or solia are excellent!
Go there and read the reviews you will change your mind about a chi, im sure, and they have reviews from biracial hair and black hair and they are pleased.
