Don't try to recover from any surgery too soon. Pushing it often causes a slower, longer, and more painful ultimate recovery. Be sure to take you Dr.'s pain pills! If the pain is from gas as a result of having your stomach cavity open, take some Gas X. It helps tremendously.

I wouldn't rush it. I had mine out 20 years ago and went out to a nightclub within a week of having mine removed. I was wearing beige trousers and when I'd got outside i noticed a HUGE blood stain from my waist to my feet on my trousers.
My stitches had split and opened up the wound. I've got a scar now that looks like you could have put your fist into.

get some arnica 6 homoeopathic tablets
they will help withthe shock and also help to speed up the physical healing of any operation
they are natural and have no side effects

make sure you take them on an empty and clean mouth ie not after drinking coffee or tea and not after cleaning teeth, rinse mouth out with water and take as directed on label

Take the meds that were prescribed. Don't over exert yourself, especially if it was the conventional surgery. I had mine out laparascopically, and had no pain. I was back at work the next week.
