The best way to meet a man without scaring him off is with the slow approach. First just invite him out for coffee. It's a good way to size each other up without making it some long date. Plus its not a real date. If he is interested in you after that he will call.

Find a singles group. They are a lot of fun and don't cost anything to join. The activities are already planned for you and are usually inexpensive
Many are run out of churches but don't push church attendance as a requirement. I've always enjoyed my time with singles groups. They have been a great way for me to make friends.
Although members usually date each other some, that isn't really the focus of a single's group. The goal is companionship. And who knows? You may be one of the lucky ones.

You can go anywhere and stick up a conversation with anyone if you try hard enough. If your a bar ask guys around you what drink is good to drink. Movie stores as what movie they like to watch or movies that u should stay away from. Parks are great if you have a dog.

start asking questions, then talk about sports. its a very easy way to get a man to talk!
