The term "Ebonics" is just plain stupid. Being a person of color, I've never agreed with nor do I like this terminology. It's embarrassing. "Ebonics" is not even a real language. To answer your question? The Bible will never be printed in "Ebonics." That's an abomination before God himself!

One time I saw on a public access channel a show with 2 gangsta type black guys reading the bible. One would read the passage as it was written, the other would then translate it to ebonics. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Yes it has, along with the ebonics lord's prayer and hail mary. There is also a hysterical satire about Christ having belonged to the original Crips gang. You can google search it. It was all funny in a sad, twisted way.

Look at how much of the meaning was lost in translation to English! If it is translated to Ebonics it may reach true meaning, with a new paragraph that says "All the works you are about to read are false. Any likenesses are merely coincidence. Please enjoy this work of fiction!"

I think not - but - one never really knows now, does one?
Thanx for asking a question that has attracted some very interesting, and quite humorous responses . . . you should have fun choosing a 'best' one from this bunch!!!
Edit: Amazing!!!
Thanx Yahoo for allowing us to 'hide' entries by others , , , such as cosmic charlie above . . . with his endless 'blah' answer . . . yikes! wonder if he will be reported/removed for his entry?
