Arabic translation, can you help?

Question

When working in Eygpt I used to have many laughs with the Eygptians I was working with . We used to slag each other off all the time. I have been trying to remember what this meant (Phonetically) as well as I remember it:-
A deek ta ool macavish. (it was obviously slagging me off because every one was in stiches! I thought at first it was something to do with my Fathers relationship with a donkey, but I was miles out.
Thats the nearest I can get, remember the Eygptian Arabic isnt much like the Saudi classical.

the translation for the meaning" A deek ta ool macavish"= i want to say it is not enough

Sounds very Egyptian indeed, but I am afraid I can't get the meaning.
