- One reason why atheist don't bash or at least debate Islam is because you never heard them do so! A Good example is "Does God Not Exist? Debate (2003)" between Hassanain Rajabali vs Dan Barker (http://ffrf.org/about/bybarker/barker_rajabali03.php#questions ).
- Most people who talk about Islam in a negative light will soon have their life threatened by some fatwa issued to kill them. While there are people who you don't hear of simply because they are already killed, the rest are already running for their lives! Ex: Salman Rushdie (an Atheist; Author of The Satanic Verses).
- Atheist don't believe in God, so its really not effective to attack each an every religion that mentions God, and having to deal with different books/"fairy tales" as you describe it. If they say that God is impossible by definition, they may have to deal with the Islamic definition of God. But it will be a waste time to deal with all the other beliefs, after they have already made their point clear. Christians do that at best ... attacking each single aspect of every other faith. Ex: http://www.answering-islam.org/
Note: I am not saying that Islam is a fairy tale but you may have just attacked Islam yourself! Things that you may think is ridiculous about Christianity may have been already recited in some Hadith or saying by the prophet (that you never heard of), and you may find yourself in a position where you have to believe them as part of your "faith"!

I'm not against anyone being religious so long as they aren't trying to force it on me or change the school curriculums to promote their beliefs. So I often don't have anything to say against Islam because I haven't noticed them doing that. I feel they get bashed a lot and I feel badly for that. Since Christians are the majoring in the US and some are trying to force their beliefs onto the rest of us there are conflicts. If Islamic people were to do that I think you would see the same conflicts. Do Islamic people believe in evolution? Do you support equal rights between the sexes? I imagine the answers might vary amongst the range of people who are Islamic?

You don't know what you are talking about. Why are you claiming to be a Muslim your a disgrace. A true Muslim would never say Christianity was a fairy tale religion Jesus was a prophet to Muslims to and this mean you are disrespecting one of our prophets by saying that about Christianity. Atheist do bash Islam and many other religions too. At least they are being honest and not disguising themselves as something there not. Never heard of what you see is what you get? To praise Islam you don't need to put down others. You are shameful.

Atheists are equal opportunity criticizers. Any religion pretty much gets the "it is a fairy tale treatment".
But they do seem to concentrate more on Christians as that's the group that seems to bash on them the most.

Hm, I would say it has to do more with culture than any inherent "truth" in either belief.
I have yet to meet an atheistic arabic person..... Probably becuz they will be killed if they vocalized their beliefs. :-)
In the western world, christianity has a bad reputation becuz it has been used as an excuse for wars ( islam has too, but western people are awfully savy and they notice when something that is SUPPOSED to be good for you turns out not to be ;-) And thus many people question that faith in christian countries.
Simply put.... trust me. Any CREDIBLE atheist would have just about the same things to say to an islamic person as a christian.
HOWEVER, I think this is a good question in its title. Why DONT you so called "atheists" hate allahs people as much as jehovahs people?

You are so wrong. I bash Islam every time someone posts something ridiculous like this....
Truth is, Muslims dont post half as many stupid, insulting questions as Christians do, hence they get the brunt of the hate. But you people are a close second. I find nothing scientific or logical in a religion that calls for the beheading of infidels....

Obviously you have not read many of the questions posed for Muslims. By and large your religion is being belittled just as much as mine. And yet I am not here spreading hatred against atheists or Muslims, or Jews, or Wiccans, etc. We are all responsible for our own salvation when you get right down to it. So I will follow my path and you follow yours and perhaps we will meet in Heaven one day on more common ground. Only God knows. Please try to use a little less ugliness and ignorance in your posts if you wish to continue to have people to discuss things with.

Because they do not want to waste their time arguing with bomb strappers, at least if they disagree with christians they will not get killed but there is nothing logical about Islam, it is a religion like any other but with just more absurdities and a lot of dont's so that they can attract followers and get more terrorists to destroy the entire human race. I don't believe in hell, but for you people I hope that there is one. Ye will be right up there with Mohammed the child molester, and instead of 72 virgins ye will get 72 pigs.

Actually, I don't speak against (seems that is the same as "bashing" and "mocking" depending on the believer) it as much because there are FAR fewer Muslims in this country, and I don't know enough about it to speak on it in the same way that I do Christianity.
I do know that since it has the same basis as an Abrahamic faith, that is enough to make it just as ridiculous to me. So, there. I spoke against it. Happy?

First off, I take offence to the "bash" reference. Prefer to think of it as pointing out the hypocrisy in things. That being said, I don't know as much about Islam as I do about Christianity...if I did, I might "bash" it just as well.
