Depends on what kind of Christian - there's lots of 'em. I consider myself Christian and feel that I very definitely am judged by others based on my religion. As far as persecuted? I've been yelled at and threatened many times and I know fellow worshipers have seen worse in their days. The USA - it's a melting pot of society and culture which would also include religions - if you have people of 2 different faiths living in the same country, and as long as there are mean spirited, power hungry, control freaks out there, you're going to get "persecution" somewhere.
It may not be at it's worst here yet. Other countries definitely have it worse.

Not like they are in other countries- but here in the U.S they are being persecuted by word and speech. Some are even being harassed here too- in other states. I know of some churches in other states that have been burned down by people who hate christians....so yes- Christians are being persecuted everywhere but some are being treated worse than others.

Yes, they are certainly persecuted. They're not allowed to open Tax Exempt churches. They can't even own a TV Network! They're not allowed to have commercials for their charities. Their religion is Not recognized by the US Gov't or it's Military, therefore they can't even have their religious symbol on their headstone if they die in a war for FREEDOM. The President himself has said he doesn't consider them to be Citizens or Patriots......
Oh wait!!!!! That's Atheists and Pagans! Nevermind. I guess Christians aren't persecuted.

Hmmm, how can that be since something like 80% of the country identifies as christian. What a load! I'd like to show some of these idiots what real persecution looks like...

In a way. Certainly not to the degree most people view persecution. We arent put to death for going to church, or reading a bible, but we are losing more and more of our rights. Just look around, little by little they are imposing on freedom of religion. Its a SMALL example of persecution.
However, we are not the only group persecuted by ANY means.

In some ways yes, some ways no. For the most part I dont believe America cares who believes what. But on the otherhand people seem offended by some national moments containing "In God We Trust" or forcing the 10 commandments out of a courthouse in Montgomery, Alabama. Did I forget to mention :no prayer in school??? I wonder what is wrong with believing in something??? If you believe in something no one can see or hear with the physical ear, why be so offended by it. It is obvious America needs God. Please listen to " He aint the leavin Kind" By Rascal Flatts. I wish all of America could hear this song. No matter what Americans do to Him, He will never leave nor forsake us. Or any country for that matter. The song talks about monuments being taken away and privileges in America.

Not that I have ever seen - though I think somehow some think that since we do not put the 10 commandments in our court houses that in some way persecutes them.
Peace!
