I believe in karma, but it's not as clear cut as being "paid back" for what you do. Karma is about learning and understanding, about becoming enlightened. All karma is good. It's not necessary to go with "eye for eye"; what's important -- the only thing that's important -- is that ignorance is replaced by awareness, as light replaces darkness.

I used to think so but now I really have to wonder about it...My reasoning for this is because I see people who have done a lot of bad and horrible things getting ahead pretty well in their lives. And then I have seen plenty of good people just continuously be dealt a bad hand when they definitely do not deserve it. Perhaps karma just doesn't work quickly to get reprimand those for their wrong doings and to give credit to those who deserve better in their lives. I would like to attain some sort of hope that it does work but from experience and what I have seen it just doesn't seem to work out that way...

Absolutely. Bad gets paid back about 10 fold, good gets paid back about even. The odds are terrible, so don't do things that are purposely bad...ever! There is a Karmic debt for each of us, make sure you balance is on the plus side at any time in your life, and you will succeed in life. Punishment for bad acts is not always jail time, but in one way or another, we build our own jails and serve our time. I wish I had known this much earlier in life...my life would have been very different, but in all, I learned soon enough to avoid disaster. I truly believe that if you live by the Golden Rule, you will have a very good life, learn all the lessons you came to learn, and leave this life with great peace of mind. That is a priceless gift. Good luck and love to you.

Not in this life. The rich get away with terrible crimes against humanity and make billions and billions off of unnceccesary wars. Then they die with their kids having trust funds and the best medical care available. If there are any consequences to evil they must happen in the afterlife or in a future life if you believe in that.
But there is a flipside to this answer: If you start to try to be spiritual and do the right thing, you tend to get consequences, payback, faster if you mess up. I don't know why that is. If you get on the path God gives you signals to stay on it and do whats right. That's the path of wisdom. But if you get on the path of the world it seems like the only punishment for evil is that you become more emotionless and empty inside. That's a terrible thing but nothing compared to what peopple do.
I know that's a complicated and overly long answer but it is a deep question.

Everything that goes out from your heart is going to come home some day. Most people spend the first half of their life screwing up and the second half trying to fix the damage. That is impossible because it is in the past. You can make ammends to people that you have hurt, but it won't go back and fix it. To me it seems like everything you do or say goes out to the edge of creation and then starts back. Eventually it comes back to the source which is you or me. Then if God in the person of Jesus Christ is not setting on the throne of your heart you will not be able to handle the darkness that you have put out there. If Jesus is in you and you have been forgiven and born again, then the past is putr into the forgetful seas never to be remembered. Only God has the power to forgive your sins and He allowed His Son to die for your sins. You just have to accept that reality and then you will not be overwhelmed by your past coming back. It will still come back, but you can handle it because you have God. His Holy Spirit will comfort you through the storms of life. The word says that, "If you sew your seeds to the wind, you can expect a whirlwind." That whirlwind is what you cannot handle on your own. If you have not accepted the forgiveness then it is far too powerful for you to deal with.

Yes, I do. Some people do not realize it because sometimes it takes a long time to come back to you. But it only applies based on your intentions.
If you did something good, but without knowing, it wouldn't count. If you did something bad, but unintentionally, it wouldn't come back to you. EVERYTHING that goes around comes around...not 3 fold, or 10 fold or whatever, exactly the same because God is fair.
For example, if you broke someones heart and didn't care, someone will break yours in the future. It might feel like your pain is more deep, but you don't know what the other person went through. If you do good because you wanted to help someone, good will come your way when God decides it's the right time. Same with when you do bad, if you intended to hurt someone, it'll come right back to you in the future.

Nope! But I don't worry about it if it's not that big of a deal to me! I mean it's ok to help people out if you can! Don't expect to get paid back for eveything you do because you won't!! If you expect to be paid back for something make sure it's clear before you make any kind of effort to help!!! Good luck in getting all the pay back you deserve! *lol*

Definitely and anyone who thinks otherwise in in for a shock-karma makes no conditions. What you sow is what you reap unless you attain enlightenment. In a universe where cause and effect governs everything is it reasonable to expect that different rules would apply to humanity?

I am going to say yes I believe this is true.
I dont have any specific refferences, and havent studied it enuf, But I believe that the natural laws make this possible.
And EVEN if you dont get paid back in this life, I believe you will in the next.
