You bet it is. A good portion of Canadians would sooner get up and wait in line at Timmies then make their own coffee at home.
The First Tim Horton's opened in Ontario, now found on just about every corner in every City...almost.

Yes, it is, but now it is owned by Wendy's and is traded publicly. The vast majority of the restaurants are in Canada, though there are a growing number in the US (and one in Afghanistan).

Tim Horton played for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Yes, they are a Canadian baseD company. I don't know how base they are.

In addition to their ubiquitousness in Canada, they're quite prevalent in the US in the Detroit, MI area, in addition to the Portland ME location mentioned by Queen Bee.

If you do a Store Locator search on their site, you'll see there are other locations in the USA as well.

I like their donuts, too.

I saw one in Portland, ME...the only place in the US. Too bad it is way ahead of any Dunkin Donut place in the states. Great coffee. Even the Canadien troops in Iraq asked the govt to provide them with Tim Horton coffee. Can't say I blame them...I'd miss it too. They did too.
