YES!
Another Bourdain fan!
His books are great and who else would eat in a 5 star joint and then a few hrss later talk about Black Sabbath while drinking Tequila with a bunch of bikers.
The man is definately one of us and not all smoke and mirrors like everyone else.

Right now it's a cross between Michael Chiarello and Paula Deen. I used to like Emeril about 10 years ago, but...eh.
I love Anthony Bourdain's books, but never got into his shows. I dislike Rachael a bit because she grates on my nerves, but I still watch her.
And Bobby Flay can go straight to....... I hate his obnoxiousness with the passion of a thousand burning suns.

Anthony Bourdain and Alton Brown by a large margin...informative, fun, not full of themselves...great stuff.
Rachel Ray is too over the top with her "yummers"...Paula Deen is not that talented in my opinion...anyone who has a TV show and uses processed cheese is out.
Emeril is ok...but it's too much sizzle and not enough steak.
Mario Batali is my 3rd choice when he did Molto Mario...4th would be Bobby Flay with his Boy Meets Grill series...but his throwdown show is terrible.
One of my old favorites was David Rosengarten and Taste...great show, lots of information.

I love Anthony Bourdain. He is hysterical. I watched his show on the travel channel all the time. I like to relax watching Paula Deen she just seems like a mom. I like Bobby Flay. I have to say though, my all time favorite was the two fat ladies.

I love Anthony Bourdain's book, "Kitchen Confidential". I'm a former chef, it read like my own autobiography. Pretty scary!
My own favorite celebrity chef would be Mario Batali. It used to be Nick Stellino, he had a show called "Cucina Amore" on PBS.

Jamie Oliver: The Naked Chef! (It's not what it sounds like) It just means he likes to get the natural flavor out of everything he works with. I think I first saw him on the food network a few years ago and loved the food he made and the simplicity of his meals.

I've never tried any of their food because it's all far too expensive so I can't really say who is best. However, I do like yum yums and Gordon Ramsey as a good entertainer.

NO one has ever come close to Julia Childs, but
That Napa Valley chef...Michael Chiccarello and Emeril are very good.
I love watching Paula Dean, she's a great cook but her cooking will kill you.
