WOW YOU PEOPLE ARE FOOLS!!! Global warming is not some lie cooked up by "alarmists," you people watch too much Fox news HAHA!!! There is a SCIENTIFIC CONSENSUS that global warming is happening and CO2 levels are increasing. The only, and I MEAN ONLY, scientists that say climate change isn't real are scientists PAID BY OIL COMPANIES!!! They want you to believe global warming is a lie so that they can continue to sell people fossil fuels and continue their record breaking profits. It's pitiful that you people go on here telling lies when someone asks a serious question... Everyone should be concerned about this issue... And YES, trees take CO2 out of the air, but do you not understand that we're destroying tropical rainforests at more than an acre per SECOND?!?! There are not enough trees to reverse the effects of CO2 in the air... You cannot simply change the entire chemical composition of a planet's atmosphere and expect nothing to happen... Start buying property in the mountains and stop buying in to the idiotic lies and the media... THINK FOR YOURSELVES!!!

Slightly, but not extremely concerned. The sea will not boil and people will not become extinct. Worst case, some coastal areas will flood. We can handle that. I suspect there will be more problems related to the world running out of oil. Running out of oil will really mess up the economy, but it will also automatically reduce global warming because it is the burning of oil that causes some of the warming. On the other hand, burning more coal would make it worse, since there is more carbon in coal than in oil, and there is way more coal in the world than oil. So I guess I have to retract some of my optimism. If we replace all oil based power with coal based power, global warming will get much worse. Right now, China is increasing oil use at a high rate, and coal use at an even higher rate. They have a giant air quality problem in addition to the global warming considerations. And the Kyoto treaty does nothing about that. It only requires other countries to pay them money, which is why the US has not ratified it.

Global warming has been debunked. Very few scientists support it and it is being pushed by alarmist, opportunists. That is not to say there is not a global problem of large proportions.

Thinking scientists - the vast majority - use the term "Climate Change" which is substantially proveable. The ice is melting because a change in the weather patterns is pushing warm air across it! The same amount of rain is falling just in different and unexpected places, thus causing floods and droughts.

Mant of the things proposed as remedies for Global Warming are good for climate change such as recycling, alternative energy and fuels.

Certainly greenhouse gas emissions need to be studied and some controls put in place but much of the invective is suspect.

The ozone hole has stabilised. Methane has stabilised. Both quite contrary to what environmentalists and global warming anthusiast keep saying but nonetheless proven and accepted scientific fact. This indicates the real problem - what if we try to fix something that is not broken?

If carbon dioxide levels are decreased too far the Earths atmospheric balance will be corrupted. This will alter the ration and as oxygen levels increase against carbon, methane levels would decrease dramatically. This would allow the Earth to cool. Oxygen levels need only to increase a hundredth of a percent of present-day oxygen levels to convert the methane atmosphere completely. Once the Earth is snow covered it might takes millions of years to recover!!!

Remember there are quite a few scientists who say that an ice age is more likely than global warming!!!

One, perhaps saving grace - it is easier to keep warm in and grow food in a cold climate than it ever will be in an over hot one.

not really yes its happening but its all happended before its just the world changing like it does, what about the ice age the world just evolves and changes and there is nothing we can do about it. the only effect we may be having is speeding it up slightly.

Global warming is not there. A large part is because of CO2 but it is not there. Did u go to school and learn about photosynthesis ???? If Photosynthesis works there is no increase in CO2. Go measure it ,u cant find it ??????

Seeing as it's December, not really. We had a nice, warm November here in Michigan.
