I even tried free-codecs downloaded AC3 Filter and DivX..
Still cant play them. What am i supposed to do?

That's because you don't have the right codec for it. Don't download avi and try to download mpg form

i use lime wire all the time and i never herd of a .avi file
to get files from lime wire to work on widows media player they have to say mp3 or wma in front of them
you could also try to up date your windows media player if you can

Fez is correct- VLC media player rocks!
Of course you might just have corrupted .avi files, too....

I wouldn't download from limewire. Their website is FULL of virus's.

Download VLC player - it will play any video files :)
You can get it from filehippo.com - audio/video section.
