The reason your asking is becauseyour not sure of it, that is a question for the person who is looking at it, I will not say to cook it because I am not seeing it and does not know if its spoilt or not, the best thing to do dear is throw it out, come over and have dinner with my family I am doing a pot roast, yorkshire pudding, baked potatoes, seafood scallapini, wild rice, & a ceaser salad,
You can bring the desert.

Check to make sure it doesn't smell bad, or feel sticky to touch. If you always had it in the fridge, it should be safe. After all, if it was bad you would know by the smell. And any minor bacteria would be killed when you cook it anyhow. Also, beef can change color based on where it was in your fridge and how the light has been effecting it, etc. For example, if you had it close against something in the fridge, sometimes that will alter the color of it. . . .In general though, if you don't think you're going to use something within one of two days you should freeze it instead. It's easy to thaw it out. So if its been in your fridge since Tuesday just check thoroughly before cooking.

Did you keep it refrigerated? If so it's probably fine as long as there are no funky odors. The irony is that tougher cuts like rump roast are actually better when aged and then marinated a bit. Some of the nicest restaraunts only serve 22 day aged steaks.

As long as it was refrigerated the entire time and has no "off odors" If it smells like anything other than beef or has a slightly sweet aroma it is unsafe. If it smells like beef it is fine. Cook as desired. Enjoy!

Red meat turning brown on the outside is normal.
Apparently it has to do with the blood in the meat and the air touching it....
(Ground beef is almost always brighter red on the inside than the outside surface, that's just how it is.)
Anyhow, no big deal, go eat your beef!
