1.) open the two different files you want to look at.
2.) then in one of them go to the upper right hand corner and you will see three small buttons right next to the help search box, there is X for cancelling, there is a box within a box button, and then there is the minimize button.
3.) select the box within a box button "Restore Window"
4.) this will then provide you with the ability to play with both of the files and align them side by side.

Ensure that both spreadsheets are open. Then, click the "restore down" button at the top right hand corner of both sheets. Now, move your cursor to the vertical edge of the sheets until it becomes a two edged arrow. Hold down your left mouse key or left laptop click button and drag the two edged arrow.
