What holidays does your daycare close besides the obvious ones easter christmas and thanksgiving. If your daycare is closed for holidays do you still have to pay? I am a daycare provider and I am just looking to see what others are doing. We are in upstate NY. fAMILY DAYCARE

My son goes to a before and afterschool private day school and it's $110.00 per week and even if the kids are out of school they are open which is a plus because I can drop him off and when I get off of work I can pick him up. They are open really great hours which is also great for myself and my husband. 6am-6:30pm and then they charge $1 a minute after 6:30. That's like the only kinda bad thing. But Iooked high and low for a reasable and safe day care and I truely believe I found it. But I live in VA and that's kinda cheap I have been told.

Good Luck!

i live on the east coast and i work for a christian school that goes from birth till 8th grade.

my son is 4 now and the full day cost for early childhood is $120 a week.

the 1s and 2s are $130 and the infants are $145 per week.

here family daycares run between $75 and $95 per week depending on the age of the child.

the daycare was closed thanksgiving and black friday. it will be closed the 25th and 26th of december. we will also be closed on the 1st. we are closed 2 days for Easter as well, and one day for the 4th of July. they aren't closed on election day and some other holidays the school is closed for.

and yes, you must pay for the holidays that the daycare observes. the family does get one weeks vacation that they can use at any time so they can use it that week if they wish.

hope this helps!

I pay someone $100 a week ($20 a day) to watch my 2 yr. old full time in her home. Occasionally I take her to the daycare in town only when the sitter can't watch her, so I'm not a regular, and not familiar with holiday closings and such. I'm assuming you don't have to pay for holidays, only scheduled days when you don't bring your child in. The day care facility here charges $32 a day for my child.

I was paying $396/mo. and, yes, we did pay a flat rate, so we paid for days that the daycare was closed and for days that my boy was sick. However, when my daughter was in a family daycare, we paid $12/day and did not pay when she was not there. It all depends on how you want to do it. I know that it was easier for me to now exactly how much to pay and when. Howevr, when my son was sick for nearly a week and I did not get paid for those days, it was hard to pay the daycare! Good luck!

YES MY DAYCARE LADY HAS ME PAY FOR THE WHOLE WEEK. $85.00. EVEN IF HE IS NOT IN DAYCARE OR THERE FOR A DAY WEEK IT DON'T MATTER SO FOR YOU TO BE NICE I WOULD PRO-RATE THE WEEKS IN QUESTION. IT WILL ALSO GIVE YOU A BETTER FRIENDSHIP WITH THEM.
