Because people like the one above that said it's racist... hello, Caucasian, Asian, African, Mexican, etc.... those are races, anyone can have blond hair. Racist would be calling someone by a racial slur, or saying someone is a certain way because of the color of their skin or ancestry, not because of their hair color. If anything it would be folicist (yeah, I made a new word!)... hee hee.
Anyways... because there are more that have proved themselves to be stupid, or at least portrayed themselves as such. There are stupid people of all hair colors, but for some reason the blonds have just become the easiest targets for the jokes... if you're not stupid, then it won't be offensive to you.... or if you are stupid, then it will go over your head & still not be offensive to you.
What cracks me up is my Aunt who gets all huffy when someone tells a dumb blond joke around her. She's blond.... but it's bottled. I think she forgets that!

you know people don't ACTUALLY think blonds are stupid.. people just portray them to be stupid in movies and cartoons and jokes and stuff because of stereotypes like barbie.. but to the person above, its not racist, people don't even think like that.
its only a bit of fun, dont' take it so seriously, im a brunette and people say brunettes are boring but i couldn't give a ****. people know its not true. by the way, they say blonds have more fun too, what r u complaining about! alot of the blonds i knwo are supersuper smart

Yeah, a lot of people say that because a lot of blondes ARE stupid, I'm not saying that you are. But in movies thats how the directors portray them. And plus your avitar is brunette?

I think because society has stereotyped them to be stupid, some blondes think it makes them more attractive to play up that stereotype. i know lots of blondes who are very intelligent. hair color doesn't determine someone's level of intelligence.

I no what you are saying it is achually racist who is to say that blondes are dumber than brunettes it is not a fact and people think they are bright when they make jokes with blondes in them, why cant anyone see beyong hair colour it is pathetic!

prolly cause society makes it that way,....and alot of chicks play up thier blonde hair to be stupid and non capable.

It's because of the image they have on TV. Look at Paris Hilton,Britney Spears, and Jessica Simpson. They act dumb and the media shows them being dumb, so everyone thinks they're dumb. I don't think blondes are dumb, but that's just me.

They say blondes are stupid because bleach blondes, when they are bleaching their hair/roots the bleach soaks into their scalp killing brain cells. so in the end, if you're not a true blonde you are getting stupider everytime you bleach your hair.
